Visiting

  1. Sunday School runs about 40 minutes. Sunday morning services run about 1 hour. Wednesday evening services run about 45 minutes to an hour.
  2. Children are welcome to the morning & evening services. Before the sermon, a teacher will usually take children downstairs for a Bible lesson. There is a nursery with a crib, table, and rocker.
  3. Traditional hymns are sung to piano accompaniment. The Majesty Hymnal is used.
  4. Some people “dress up”, but most are casual to business casual. Jeans are common. Some women wear dresses; some do not.
  5. The service opens with a Scripture reading, followed by a hymn. After the opening hymn, the pastor or an elder gives a brief greeting followed by prayer. More hymns follow with a time of praises and prayer requests. There is an offering is taken, followed by the morning message, then a closing hymn and benediction.
  6. The Lord’s Table is celebrated monthly, usually on the 2nd Sunday of the month.
  7. A fellowship feast is held monthly, usually on the 1st Sunday of the month after the morning service.

Membership

We are always happy to receive new members by one of the following means:

  • Testimony of personal salvation followed by believer’s baptism.
  • Transfer letter of membership from a church of like faith and practice.
  • A written statement of faith and baptism if a letter is unavailable, or verbal salvation and baptism testimony given to a meeting of the pastor, elders, and deacons.

You may inquire about membership with the pastor, one of the elders, or one of the deacons.
